A performance of "Feng quan 1" (the first "mountain top boxing" form) which is Chen Pan Ling's synthesis of xingyi, bagua and taiji on a shaolin longfist (taizu) base. From the Academy of Traditional Fighting Arts (see http://www.traditionalfightingarts.com and http://dandjurdjevic.blogspot.com).

  • @brentpieczynski I think you are correct in part. I included the second version (faster, but with the errors) because I liked the energy flow a bit better. However some errors were unrelated to the speed; they were just me being a bit "sloppy".

  • Are those small errors the result of how differences in pace alter energy flow? I have when doing a simple exercise of lift knee and extending my foot while intending to place the heel on the ground. An alteration of pace can easily convert this into a heel strike to the ground instead barely touching. This pace change seems to be an exploration of energy flow where precise pauses were missing.
