Only a few months before CSPRailnet abandoned the famous Camas Prairie 2nd Subdivision, my kids and I chased a train from Lewiston to Craigmont and back. My 8 year old son manned the video camera, and I think he did a great job.

  • If you've ever seen the movie "Breakhart Pass", starring Charles Bronson and Jill Ireland, that movie was shot on some of the railroad line between Lapwai and Winchester, Idaho, back in 1976.

  • the scenery is breathtaking, plus the sound of those 7FDL-12 powered B23-7's,simply amazing......

  • That was a pretty cool video, and yeah it looks much like a model railway!

  • Great job on the video, what a great bit of track, looks like a big model railway.

    Thanks for sharing it

  • First you have to be a member of the club. You then have to keep an eye out for the trip (excursion) that you want to go on.

  • How do you get involved in that? I'd like to take a speeder over Siskiyou Pass

  • Great video of an awesome railroad through some beautiful country.

(I pulled alot of paper towels and tissue loads out of Potlatch down HWY 95 to Las Vegas and L.A. in the early '90's - Lewiston and Clarkston are great towns.)

  • Wow, what an historic video! Too bad that much of line is now used to store empty centerbeam flat cars. It is an awesome line, I hope that it can be preserved.

  • Me and my grandpa just finished going over those trustles on a railroad speeder excursion on Memorial day. It was awsome.

  • Forgot to add, also love the shot you guys got of the old GE's chugging up that steep grade, neat sound!
