Wow Manu not very athletic? He only made Wade and Durant eat leather. Ask Kobe if Manu is not very athletic. Even if he doesn't slam the ball ever again he has enough skills, BBIQ, and heart to start on any team. I bet Kobe wouldn't mind playing with him even at this stage of his career. He's playing with Fisher and he's a dinosaur.
FYI Garrett Temple has been quoted as Pops favorite player this season by Pop. He see's something in him that he likes, so do I. This young kid is good. He proved it in the playoffs when Tony went down.
@sas45champs Manu was very athletic when he first came into the league. He still is really athletic...I have no idea what you're talking about, are you comparing him to Dwight Howard? lol! He's so quick with the ball, he can play defense really well, even at his age, and he practically gets whatever shot he wants. And whatever athleticism he lacks (which isn't a whole lot), he makes up for with his basketball IQ.
@abovethelove Manu's the guy that makes his team better, you can play all three of those guys on the court at the same time: Anderson, Manu, and Tony. Manu is our playmaker on offense, and he's the one that makes everyone better. Tony is necessary when you have a big man like a younger Timmy and now Tiago who run the pick and roll so well. Tony's career 3 assists per game (lol!) are practically all because of the pick n'roll
@CapnFancypants Garrett Temple is awesome, man. He had an awesome summer league! There's no way you can say he's terrible unless you watched the games! Also, his short stint last season when Tony Parker was out, he did great for a rookie. He had a twenty point game! He's definitely gonna play this year. He can play the point or the SG and defend all the way to an SF (if he matches up with GT's size). Garrett Temple is known to drive the basket, but he shot the three well in the summer league.
@CapnFancypants I would consider him very athletic. Athleticism isn't limited to your hops. It's how you use it in how you play and how you control it.
I would not mind if they trade Parker, while his stock is high. George Hill is ready. He's extremely smart and mature for any point guard, not just for his age.
apparently I meant reply to @CapnFancypants comment
