Here are yet some more classic UK TV adverts from 1985, recorded off Channel 4. These were uploaded to UK Nova a month ago, so all credit of capping must go to the UK Nova user who uploaded them.

The adverts are for: Thomas Cook holidays, BMW 5 Series, Best Ever Whiskas cat food, Bachelors Cup-A-Soup Special, Maxwell Video Tapes, Maxwell Audio Tapes, Kellogg's Corn Flakes, Flora Margarine (voiced by Terry Wogan), Mr. Kipling's Apple Pies, Super Poly-Grip, Heinz Barbecue Beans, and a regional London area ad for OTV, an electronics shop, which have Ferguson VHS VCRs at reduced price. (Just look at that VCR - now that's what I call video technology! ;-) )

  • Even back then, when the politically correct rot was starting to set in, it was still pretty much easy to be able to watch the telly without some ethnic minority character popping its swarthy face in to remind us all tat we're now living in a multicultural, third world, colonised , shithole.

  • Pete Murphy of Bauhaus in the Maxell tape ad.

  • Quality BMW advert!
