45C heat and lack of electrical power causes a record 750+ train cancellations in one day across the train network. This was supposed to be a fare free transport day across the entire public transport network statewide as "compensation" for this weeks problems, but the amount of cancellations today alone was more than the other days of the week combined! • 30th January 2009 was the worst public transport day in Australia's History and one of the worst public transport disruptions worldwide since 9/11

  • After Kennett dismantled and sold off Victorian public transport, you have to expect some difficulties in the current government trying to bring infrastructure and service up to acceptable standard.

Jan/Feb 2009 was such a terrible time for Victorians, it will be the future for many of us.
