@mcpcshowcaseHD BHX has a runway extension plan but it is quite a few years away from completion. I don't expect the A380 to feature here until the runway extension is open.
mcpcshocaseHD will have a better idea but my guess would be that the current runway is too short for an A380 to be able to carry a full load. The BHX-DXB route is served by the Boeing 777-300ER (even if they do cram in 10 seats per row and have cabin crew who ignore passengers!)

You say in your description that the plae took off in a tail wind. I wasn't there so I don't know, and yöu were there and you obviously know what the weather conditions were like, but I don't think they would risk taking off in a strong tail wind just for show on what appears to be a quite short runway. Wasn't it crosswind?

by the way, awesome video, how on earth they fitted the A380 in BHX's apron is beyond me. What gate did it park on?

Not sure of the Gate Number. It parked at the new International Terminal that opened the same day.
