Hi Friends! This is a song I heard for the first time played by John Kirby (Thefiddlah) http://www.youtube.com/user/TheFiddlah at a Christmas party he invited me to in 1979 in Hamilton Mass.. Now those were crazy days! I was 19 and a month earlier I had gotten my first guitar for my birthday. It was a Yamaha! I got it because I used to hang around with John, Mike Silva, and Steve Pashigian, and they all played. Of course John developed into one the all time greats, Steve Pashigian played traditional for a number of years and then turned to classical and has put out a bunch of music on CD. As far as I know he is one of the first to use a 7 string guitar!! No one can play "Docs Guitar" as good as him! Maybe not even "Doc" Mike Silva the last I heard had written over 200 songs and was preparing to record them. Whenever I play I can tell you which one of the 3 I stole the riff or style of the riff I'm doing from! As I look back I can see how lucky I was To have parents to buy me a guitar and to be able to spend my first couple of years watching and playing with 3 guys that were willing to help me along! have kicked this song around a little but never really gave it a fair shot. So here it is! It is not a copy of Pink Floyd's song!! I actually improvise the lyrics and melody in a couple spots. The 3 beautiful girls are my daughter in Michigan!! Love you guys!!! Joey (DAD)

Great Joey, I don't know the other guys you mentioned but I know John (TheFiddlah). A great guitar player, keyboard player and song writer. Its true, we are lucky for what we have presently and what we received from out parents. My parents are both deceased and Christmas time always brings back cherished memories of them. Good cover my friend - Have a great Christmas and New Year!!!
