Zip - 12/14/08 (Schooling western)

This is me and my 2003 AQHA all-around gelding, Zip (Invite A Lady x Zippos Old Gold) schooling on 12/14/08. Two serious injuries (him) plus college (me) have disrupted our training so we haven't gotten as far as I'd like and he's still pretty green, but considering the circumstances I'm happy with him. He's done really well in Hunter Under Saddle, which is more natural for him, and I'm hoping that he'll improve for the Western Pleasure in the coming year (I graduate from college soon and will be able to work him). We show all-around (WP, HMS, HUS, Eq, and WR) at open shows and show the HUS and Eq at AQHA shows. He's also started over fences as a hunter but it's hard to school over fences when he keeps getting hurt :).

His jog is normally much slower than this (it's one thing he does do very well western) but this was our first ride back (my first day home for the holidays). He got much slower after a few rides.

He's about 16h. He sticked at 15.3 the summer I bought him (2 years ago) but I'm pretty sure he gained an inch, or close, since then (he's definitely gained width, haha).

Thank you! He is actually a much better HUS horse :). It's just much easier for him because he's naturally a longer-strided, more forward moving horse...we have to work a little hard for western.
