well I've been reading the 3ds max bible. I'm on page 540 or somethin like that... and I still can't do any of that. I'm now starting tutorials also. I think you're pretty damn good.

Thanks! This took me about 10 days to make. You can find excellent tutorials at Autodesk's site. I think those tutorials would be the best place to start.
