  • Gelcoat is a normal treatment for fiberglass surfaces to seal the fiberglass and allow paint products to sit on top without sinking into the porous fiberglass. Corvettes were originally gelcoated from the factory, but over the years is can deteriorate, and once we make our repairs, it's a good idea to re-coat it.

  • sweet ride, but why gelcoat? does it protect from rust or something?
