Yes it is. Its a Bifiliar with 200 Ohms on one and 100 Ohms on the other wire the LEDs are directly hooked up to the 2nd coil I think. Its been a while now.

is the pulse coil doubly wound? are u collecting back emf in pulse coil? if so how?

The core was slowing it down (Magnets were attracted to it) so I took it out. Runs silent now and quite fast.

Is your driver coil air core?

Yes they are Fishing Magnets (Neo) can pull up to 55kg each!
They seem to be working well together, and only cost about £20 for the magnets
