  • 'The Celtic Fringe: Westminster Elections In Scotland And Wales, 1970-2010, A Complete Record' by Grant Toway is now available on Amazon. At first glance, this book may seem to be primarily a statistical guide to the 1,200+ constituency contests in Scotland and Wales covering the last four decades, but there are also brief comments which accompany each and every result. The author has also compiled a number of appendices as well as providing his own commentary on the unfolding events.

  • Foolish woman!

  • @hugoegbert79

(ive changed my username) Unfortunately, yes you're right. Im enraged that they have become nothing more than stooges for the Tories. She should be ashamed for defending claimants one day and then advocating forced labour when in power.

  • @CULAVE Yeah, well it seems the Lib Dems are doing that now they're in power.

  • @imonthebox You got proved wrong :P

  • You lot will never get into power End of.

  • Because the Lib Dems really want to have a theocratic revolution

  • Naive leftists. Look at Teheran today to get an idea of Britain's future.

  • On this issue alone my vote will go Lib Dem

  • cont... to recognise that we arent all lazy chavs. I actually do more voluntary work in what I would be paid in the eqivalent minimum wage. I am grateful for the financial help I receive but as I am playing by the rules, I should not have to feel guilty about it. I do not expect political parties to change societal ignorance (ie about the unemployed) but I would at least expect them not to capitalise on it. On this issue, the Lib Dems have my support.
