@lslinger Sorry to hear that - its a bit harsh maybe a visit to CAB to get your money back or time extension - seems a reasonable request on your part if your in another country I thought they would have given you some leeway but obviously jobworths with no real power - cheers for keeping in touch I think its a bit over priced myself with no grand father rights and they are adding stuff an changing it all around again.

@ht1info Im not working, I got the funds for the licence and sent the stuff in but because I was living outside the UK for a period I had to send papers from the police in that country. They never sent me a letter to tell me this, only after the time frame had expired in which I could send in those papers do I receive a letter from them saying I have to put in a new application with another £250 FUCK THEM!
@lslinger sorry no - I used to know some guys from Manchester - but the last couple of years been working Brighton, Portsmouth and inbetween in Retail, Static and Doorwork. Good luck I hope by now you have gotten used to the ways of the doormen and are doing well :-) Welcome to our world.....
@milto01 And we get lashed from all sides now - the numpties are giving us a hard time as they have learned the loop holes and the SIA - Police are taking badges away: We need more of the old powers but its the way things are I sympathise with you - maybe with the new Gov ??
What you need to be a Doorman? you forgot to mention having a good head on your shoulders and that you got to be in it for the right reasons.
Lets face it there are loads of plums out there that can easily get badged up and want some PT work.
Its not just any old job, it takes a particular type to do the job properly and professionally.
Its sad that the industry has opened up to these plums that all their looking for is PT work.
If you try it, and don't like it then go elsewhere.
