Not too into politics I didn't want to waste my time at Obama's inauguration. Especially because there will be plenty of opportunities to counter his collectivist ideas in the future. But, as I was bicycling into work I thought I'd make a slight detour to see what the circus was like on its fringe. Needless to say, it only reinforced my view that the balance between security and liberty has swayed much too far to the former.

  • That's some disturbing sights. It sounded like that female cop was shouting some sort of threats of arrest at people walking by. What was that about?

  • Some folks were trying to get around the crowd by walking on the grass rather than the sidewalk. The officer didn't like that too much...

  • shut the fuck up you ignorant bitch. if you didnt notice, your faggot idol obama is continuing every policy of warrantless wiretapping and surveillance on US citizens. just because the faggot that you worship is now doing this same shit doesnt make his policies right. trash whores like you want to play the toilet bowl game of going round and round talking about democrats and republicans. both sides are destroying liberty. time to stop being a worthless cunt, you fucking piece of trash.

  • bureacrash is the astroturf of the conservative movement- that is, astroturf gover norquists. It is utter irony to see conservatives gear up to complain about oppressive security NOW, when they were COMPLETELY silent during the BUSH admin. Shame on your silly astroturf campaign, young Republicans.

  • Individual initiative is the bane of all dictatorships.

  • Spooky. I know the President is the most important public servant, but is he really THIS IMPORTANT?

There is a common psychological tendency that grows inside every culture as it approaches authoritarianism - and that is personality worship.

The platitudes used to justify it can never be completely brought down into concrete examples, and so the public gravitates towards a face - any face - which appears to possess them.

Is this an inaguration or a corronation?

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

  • Yes, I'm with you on that. I'm going to have to get more guns and ammo and store them in my bomb shelter.

  • thanks for positng.

  • is dat sum police state?

  • Behold the coronation of Paraoh Obamatep! Bow before your god-king!
