Former Drudge Report editor Andrew Breitbart analyzes the apparent dominance of liberal blogs over their conservative counterpoints, arguing that the Left dominates because they protect mainstream media. He compares liberals' online strength to the popularity of conservative talk radio.

-----

Identified as "one of the ten most important people in the media that nobody's ever met," Andrew Breitbart details why leftward-leaning Hollywood is dangerous for America and why the people who run it are "uninteresting," "vitriolic," and "vicious."

Segueing from Hollywood to the Internet, Breitbart explores why the right dominates talk radio and the left seems to do better on the Internet and how the decline of print media is changing the nature of the national political conversation. - Hoover Institution

Andrew Breitbart grew up in Los Angeles and went to Tulane University. He helped edit the Drudge Report and was a developer of the Huffington Post. He is the author of Hollywood, Interrupted: Insanity Chic in Babylon -- The Case Against Celebrity. He manages two websites: Breitbart.com and Big Hollywood.

Peter M. Robinson is a research fellow at the Hoover Institution, where he writes about business and politics, edits Hoover's quarterly journal, the Hoover Digest, and hosts Hoover's television program, Uncommon Knowledge.

  • Leftwing jerks can't tolerate their views being challenged.Double standards all the way That's why obama and his supporters, make direct challenge to freedom of speech"close em down" ban em", but they can't control them.as they would in an undemocratic socialist state. Not yet.

Threaten teenage boys for dissing obama what a joke1

  • "scientifically provable"??? wow!!!!!

  • Conservative talk radio is successful because conservatives love lies and stupidity so much that instead of being ashamed when their ideas are proven wrong, they enjoy seeing and hearing them repeated and reinforced byt their liars in chief.

  • Seems to me that he basically admitted that there is a "right wing media" which somewhat flies in the face of his critique of a "left wing media". I would think he should be calling for a truly impartial media but at this stage, people seem far too invested in the concept of a general media bias, no matter which direction they see it being slanted in.

  • The left blogosphere became active because it was a CRITIQUE of the media, not protecting it! It's precisely because almost no one in the mainstream news was seriously questioning the legitimacy of Bush v. Gore, the patently nonsensical justifications for the Iraq war, etc. etc etc., that the left blogosphere started examining these things itself. Realizing, in the process, that the only way anything besides right-wing frames could be heard was if it forced them into the light.

  • "My blog is scientifically provable as being better than yours." How stupid. I can see conservatives saying shit like that. I'll Bet Bill O' has said it about his show.

  • The question of why talk radio is dominated by conservatives and the internet is dominated by the liberals I'd guess it's because reading makes the average conservative's head hurt.

  • lol, actually I think the fundamentalists will become negilble soon. As we continue to advance technologically, religion will continue to fall by the wayside. I think that a new party would be Socially 'liberal' and economically 'conservative'. As religion fades away, this new party (again postulation) would fracture the democrat voter base in two. Besides, democrats are simply too incompatent to do anything politcially.

  • I absolutely agree. It was not my intention to take it out on FORA. I enjoy most of their interviews and think they do a good job exposing a lot of interesting peoples views and ideas. This particular "interview" just seem to stand out in a negative way.

  • What's "scientifically provable"? Absolute nonsense.
