My New Mexico: Old Lincoln

Take a tour of the main street of Lincoln, New Mexico, a well-preserved late 19th century town where some of the skirmishes in the Lincoln County War took place. Billy the Kid was jailed here and made his famous brazen escape, sticking around to chat with friends for an hour or so after killing a couple of guards (according to some versions).

just came home from vacationing in ruiodoso and decided to stop in lincoln on the way home, i was last here at 6 years old with my parents and brother, now i am married and have kids and was here with my family, i have always loved the history, the people were friendly and the muesems were nice,i want to come back again. nice video!

you know thats a good question,,lol come to think of it i have never paid attention to the population sign an have never asked,, but im going to say in the actual town limits it cant be over 100 and i would guess maybe 60 , but now that ya got me wondering, ill makes sure to ask the postmaster at the little post office, as far as the outskirts,, there are a few houses a couple miles out, but not many

Great presentation, Great video, Lincoln is one of our favorite and regular locations that we visit, I have spent many hours sitting on the front porch of the Whortley hotel visiting with people like ourselves that love Lincoln for its history and its ability to make you feel the spirits of the past,, We were most recently there during the 09 pageant, which we did enjoy,although i prefer lincoln at its most peaceful, Thank you , P.S. Loved the New mexico color scheme on the transitions
