Larry and Robben performing bluestrack from new album recorden in Tokyo. Written bij Larry Carlton. Gr8 solo from Larry. North Sea Jazz Festival Rotterdam 2007. Recorded with nokia N70.
SICK!!! AMAZING!!! WOW!!! I had no idea Larry even had that kind of blues in his arsenal. I knew Robin did but Larry has a tone there that blue my mind.
I don't care if the video is crap..just listen. LC is playing with more intensity than I've heard in a long time--probably because of RF standing next to him. RF kills it too, as usual.
well, not really like Elizabeth Reed, the chord progression and slow blues tempo is closer to ABB's version of Stormy Monday from the Live at Fillmore East album.
Larry Carlton has given Robben credit for many, many years--Robben has been an innovator in the: modern Blues scene, Fusion, Old School Blues, and any genre he tackles he does well. You have to give them both equal credit for being as good as there ever was . . .
After seeing Robben over 15 times, I am still in awe--he's the man!
