@superdonkeyballs One idea for sure. I'm sceptical about the persistence of consciousness in a limbo like that. Ghosts seem to demonstrate only bits and pieces of behaviour, and all jumbled up. That's what makes me think it's just information from the past projected on the here and now.

@breaneainn Someone said to me it's because that they don't know that they died. It might have been a tragic death and went so fast they believe that they are still here. I don't recall this video... I'm just reading comments but the child might be looking for his/ her parents and can't find them. Unfinished business.

@superdonkeyballs Maybe it's just the point when the energy is returned to the environment, somehow leaves a scar on spacetime where images from the past can leak through distorted, like casting a shadow on rough ground.

Does anyone know why human ghosts stay at the age they die in?

I thought when we die we are just energy and this form that we are in now isn't what we look like. It's just a vessel.
