Qantas Airways flight passing by at South Pole region

Qantas Airways flight (Boeing 747-400, VH-OJU) passing by at South Pole region on a flight from Sydney (Australia) to Johannesburg (South Africa). The flight went that South because further North more and stronger winds would have taken a longer flight time. No icebergs in viedeo, sorry.

There is no doubt in my mind that the South pole is the senior and dominant pole , that the South pole is up and the North pole is down , one thing is clear is that it is the purest place on Earth .I see a future in which the maps will show the South pole on top .

I could vouch for that experience, i had flown AvRo Rj 70 myself that close to Himalayas and would love tp fly near the pole.
