Colorado Winter Morning - Snow & Scenery

The snowy scenery on a January 2012 morning in Chaffee County, Colorado. The road I stood on is Chaffee County Road 344, which is approximately five miles west of Buena Vista, Colorado. This is the road that travels into South Cottonwood Canyon and leads to Cottonwood Lake and Mineral Basin.

As you can see, the sun had not risen over much of this spot, which made things feel dark and dreary. Perhaps that was appropriate. By the way, it was quite cold out there. I'd say it was about 10-15 degrees with the windchill, and I forgot my gloves. Ha ha. Thank you for watching! -Steve
