no offence, it seems great to involve your kids in your personal yoga experience, but it seems likely, that accidents may happen. it just takes one wrong move and those children could fall on their heads and have permanent brain damage.
Just think about it!

Marty, This is wonderful!! I was laughing and crying. Wish I'd had this when Emma was a little shorter :)

Handgrips and follow-through are fully discussed and illustrated in the manual and taught in the classes. Safety is uppermost in CTY.
When performed as recommended and demonstrated - mastering the moves and acquiring the skills in the given sequence and over the proper length of time to allow for adequate practice - CTY is no more dangerous than driving with your child in your car. You do use seat belts, don't you?

The idea is not to involve your kid in your own pursuit. CTY is a shared pursuit. As with any activity requiring skill, strength, coordination, and practice, there is some small degree of risk. CTY addresses this concern with extreme care, cautioning parents to build the strength and acquire the skills needed to perform the moves safely before attempting them and to have trained instructors present at all times when experimenting with new asanas.

CTY is far more than involving your kids in your personal yoga experience. CTY aims at LEARNING and TRAINING with your child. It promotes valuable PARENTING abilities. It aims to teach your child skill, strength, judgment, self-confidence, and patience, as you practice those things with him or her. It's a mutual experience in which parent and child share learning----learning to trust each other's strength and coordination, learning to move in unison, learning balance, learning to work as a team.
