couldn't believe when I tuned into the underground garage and heard the KID...brings back some memories of Fridays at 6 PM...Born to Run setting us up for the weekend...and a little Murray Saul with the Get Down Man!!

Most amazing thing would happen on Friday afternoons, WMMS seemed to be able to wind up the city and give the listener a endorphin buzz !

what three songs did kid leo play on fridays at 5pm to start the weekends

What a great time to listen to rock. I have at least 50 to 60 hours of actual live on air broadcasts on my old Akai tape deck. I still listen now and then to that music from the early 70's. Those days are gone forever.

This is too cool.
It was actually a 6 PM on Fridays. The opener was "Born to Run" by Bruce Springsteen, which was originally followed by Murray Saul's weekly "Get Down." That was followed by "Friday on My Mind," a live version by Earthquake. Later, and after Murray stopped doing the Get Downs, it became "Born to Run," "Cleveland Rocks" by Ian Hunter and "Friday on My Mind."
