In Citadels, each player leads a city and seeks to increase its prosperity by building new city districts. The game ends after one player has built his eight district, after which a winner is determined by points.

Building the most impressive city however, is not an easy task. Only by influencing nobles, merchants, and other powerful characters of the realm will you achieve success.

Game enthusiasts of all genres will be enchanted by this wonderful game of bluffing, deduction, and city-building. Wrapped in a medival theme and gorgeously illustrated, players seek to be the first to complete a grand city of their own. Each game round players secretly take the roles of either the King, Magician, Architect, Assasin, Thief, Bishop, Warlord, or Merchant and seek to use the powers of such offices in their efforts to win the game.

  • Your zeal and pleasure for the games you review is appreciated and enjoyed . Keep up the good work

  • Don't nick the character cards whatever you do! I've had to color the edges black before so I can't guess them.

Okay, thanks been playing the game and love it.

  • @TechnicolorVille he seems to be using common PVC card-protectors. I say it mostly because I use similar protectors for my magic decks :)

  • Hey great game will be buying this in two more weeks. Anyways what type of card sleeves are u using?

  • Wish you'd keep reviewing, you did a good job on these

  • @Volte6 : I'm sure you mean the other way around... since this game is older :)

  • Good energy in your review. I think you have a rule detail wrong. At the end, you don't put every one of the unused role cards on the table face down. I think all but one are actually face up.

  • The role selection seems similar to Puerto Rico's

  • great video. you've explained it really well. thank you.
