Oh My Jonas Ep. 204- Temporarily Whole Again

(AN: So, we learned about downloading illegal music in school yesterday. Annnnd, I got really paranoid and freaked out because I do that. Haha, but that's the only way to put music in my videos... so, if I have a song suggestion I'll put it at the beginning of the episode because there most likely won't be music in a lot of videos anymore. Demi played the piano for a long time. She wrote a song but there were no words, just music. It had gotten dark and late so Demi got up from the piano. There was a knock at the door and Kevin peeked his head in.

Kevin: Selena's spending the night. She still doesn't know you're here but do you want to stay?

Demi: What about school?

Kevin: -Shrugs.- Skip, everyone else is. We're leaving to film in 2 weeks anyways. When we get back, school will be over. Not that it matters for me.

Demi: Okay... yeah, I'll stay. I'll just sleep in here.

Kevin: Okay. Do you want anything? Are you hungry?

Demi: Can you just make me some tea?

Kevin: Sure, I'll be back.

He goes back to the kitchen and puts a kettle of water on the cook top for boiling.

A few minutes later, Joe comes bounding down the stairs.

Kevin: Hey, buddy! How ya doin'?

Joe shrugs and mumbles something.

Kevin: What was that?

Joe: I feel like crap, okay?!

Kevin: Why?

Joe: Demi hasn't talked to me yet. I can't help but feel like there's something else I've done, something bad. I just don't understand why she hasn't forgiven me yet.

Kevin: Well, maybe you didn't do anything wrong and maybe she knows that. But maybe she thinks if you get back together, you'll do something to mess it up.

Joe: But I won't! I promise! After all that's happened, I never want to go through that again! I can't live without her! I can hardly function. Look at me! I'm a mess. I don't eat, I barely sleep, and I hardly talk to anyone anymore. At concerts I'm so glum and down, premieres I barely talk, I don't smile. I can't hug anyone or anything. All because of her. I never, ever, want to hurt her and the distance between us is killing me right now. I can't imagine her being any better but maybe she is.

Kevin: Maybe she's worse. Just give her a bit more time.

Joe: -Sighs.- Are you making tea?

Kevin: Uhmm, yeah.

Joe: You hate tea.

Kevin: It's for, um, Mom, when she comes home. Yeah.

Joe: Make me some.

Kevin rolls his eyes as the kettle whistles.

Demi takes one last look at Joe from around the corner where she eavesdropped then she scurries back to the living room.

She hangs out in there and Kevin brings her the tea and she drinks it slowly. Kevin sits in a chair and quietly strums on a guitar while Demi sits on the big blue couch.

After a while, Demi finishes her tea and Kevin gets up and takes the empty mug.

Kevin: Well, I'm gonna go up to bed. Just call if you need anything.

Demi: Thanks, Kevin.

Kevin nods and goes out in the hall, closing the doors behind him.

Kevin: Hey, Mom.

Mrs. Jonas: Hey, Kevin. What's up?

Kevin: Demi's staying the night but no one knows she's here except for me. And I don't think she wants to be at Selena's alone since Sel is here but Demi doesn't want Joe to know she's here.

Mrs. Jonas: Um, alright?

Kevin: So, just don't tell anyone she's here.

Mrs. Jonas: Okay.

Kevin: Goodnight.

Mrs. Jonas: Night.

Kevin goes upstairs to bed.

In the living room, Demi dims the light really low and goes back over to the couch. She lays her head down on the pillow where Joe's layed his head on weeknights for the past month and a half. Demi pulls the gray blanket over her body, smothering herself with Joe's scent.

It was everywhere and she couldn't escape it but she didn't want to. The smell made her feel safe and temporarily whole again.

It was the first night in a long time that she had a partially decent night's sleep.

Okay, so, sorry about the lack of Fly With Me uploading. But I'm having MAJOR writer's block on that. Is it okay if I skip part of the summer tour and jump to Camp Rock 2? Because that's the only thing I can think of doing. So, let me know. Or if you have any ideas. Yeah. Thanks guys. Comment and rate pleeeeeease. Oh, and subscribe. I have 1,354! Yay!
