Badrea Talua, meaning full moon rising, has been dancing for 25 years. She started bellydancing in Kansas because Disco had sadly gone away and she wanted to do some sort of dance without needing a partner.
Badrea’s favorite thing about bellydancing is the friendship of all the bellydancers she has met. Her favorite color to dance in is hot pink, a color that matches her bright smile. Her current favorite type of music to dance to is by Café Feenjon, an Isreali/Arabic group formed back in the late 1960’s.
When Badrea is not bellydancing or teaching bellydance, you can find her reading, listening to other types of music or sewing. If you or your troupe is in need of costumes, visit Badrea at her costume website that she shares with her sewing partner Antarctica, www.bargains4bellydance.com. You will not find any more affordable costumes than here.
