yes, but the xbox 360's failure rate is much higher than the PS3's
I had 2 Xbox 360's both the same treated, then i got a PS3 (same treatment as the xbox 360's) and it still works
both xbox's aged 1 month the PS3 will become 3months tomorrow.(yes i keep track of my PS3!!)

Did you ever check the powercord to see if it was in proberly to the xbox 360? that tends to be common.

Yeh the powercord was in. The problem was overheating cos i checked the code. I have a new one now and so far its been working fine. its a bit loud but at least it works.
