Hi. Donnie rules. But his 9 gold gloves at first base is an AL record, not a an MLB record like you stated in the video [I think Garvey and Hernandez both have more in the NL].

I recognize that Hernandez has 2 more gold gloves. Donnie did not, however, have the benefit of fielding weak ground balls from the NL pitchers. I figure this takes at least 2 gold gloves away from Mex. I also purport that cocaine might be a perfomance enhancing drug for fielders. Maybe it should be listed as 11* gold gloves for Keith.

if kirby puckett is in the hall of fame then don mattingly derserves to be in too. the whole reason kirby got in and donnie didnt is cause of the world series wins which is a crock of BS!

Donnie is my favorite Yankee of all time and I'll do what ever I possibly can to get him into the HoF.

On a seperate note, I hope Donnie decides to grow back his 'stache.

just cause he was a Yankee does not mean he should be in the HOF people.It's a borderline case really.He was the best in the game for a few years but kind of slipped after that.I will say this,Keith Hernandez was a similar player,with 2 WS rings,good hitter,great gloveman.If one is in the other should be.What I don't get is why all these people want Donny in but say Konerko,with much better power and RBI  numbers is a tossup.Cause he is with the Whit Sox and not Boston or Ny that's why.

The Yankees already retired his number and put him in Monument Park! Thats well more than enough for what he did. He was pretty good but not that great. There is already too many average mediocre players in the hall of fame already.

i know on the surface hios numbers fall a little short of hall of fame, but when u dig deepr to records he broke , the 9 gold gloves all the years he was in running for mvp its hard to deny Hes without a doubt a hall of fame player. His number is retired by the yankees!! i mean come on, hes the best and for many years he was the most feared playing in baseball.

9 gold gloves. Plus, pretty sure he NEVER was on steroids. Not his fault he didn't get to the world series; it's not like basketball, football, where one player iis involved in every offensive play. He may bat 3-5 times a game...During his day he was probably the best all around. Although he was not fast, he was VERY good on the bases, aheads-up player, unlike Posada, whom I want to strangle. All the steroid-users not oly make their numbers look better, but HIS worse...unjust. Put him in.
