Due to climatic changes within the last 20 years or so and really within the last 10, swell patterns and angles have changed drastically here in California most notably in So. Cal. Winter surf considered by many as the best season has dwindled down to almost non existant due to changes in the jet stream. Storm patterns that would nomally "drop down" from the north are tracking high and due east. Therefore the days of really good surf in California are becoming very few and far between.

The first wave i caught brought me in about 60 feet it was perfect.

ive never had trouble with locals although i go to this beach about 3 times a week

you know i ive in vegas and i drive to cali almost every weekend in summer to go surfing
and especially here in san diego, even though the waves are small and partly calm
it offers fun for my family and i know that my 5 and 6 year old kids wont be hurt by these waves
id t=rather have fun with family then have them watch me
