Jesus says in several places in scripture that He must come first before our loved ones and our own lives. I believe this to mean that as a professing Christian, your allegiance is to the commandments of God. Of course thats not to say that we must obey the law in order to be saved, but Christ did give us certain commandments, and I strongly believe that if we follow those commandments, it would show proof that we have Christ in us.

The statements that Christ made about us putting Him first, ARE NOT conditional statements. In my opinion, they are MATTER OF FACT statements made to indicate the attributes of a truly converted believer in Christ.

A true believer would always put Christ first, even in spite of the pain it could possibly bring.

  • Nice video, thanks for putting that together and posting.

  • @vekl oh ok!! LOL! Love ya!

  • lol u killin me with da glasses

  • @vekl I do show respect, but we must not be foolish and pretend that there is not a line drawn between us and them. While we are to show our enemies love and forgiveness, we are also to expose the madness of the human heart which reviles against God and what He has revealed in HIs Word.

  • @vekl or should I say "our" doctrine.

  • @vekl I did not call the church "fools" I was refering to the dogs who bark at your doctrine for they are fools to argue against Scripture. I can;t believe that I am arguing with someone that I praised.

  • @NB3K Again, who are you talking about that has caused God to bring His wrath upon the earth? You blamed it on the elect, which I clearly disagree with, and you also called the Church 'fools'. Not only did you violate Matthew 5:22, but you are almost appearing to express hatred towards your brthren (that's if you are indeed a believer at all.) I'm sorry but you need to repent of this attitude, sir.
