Yeah, I raced Grattan in about 1980-81. We ran steam-powered cars back then. Really hazardous -- it was common to hit stray dinosaurs...
I started racing at BFR in '75; then I took a break to work as a mechanic for Jim Hall and Carl Haas (Chaparral Can-Am). Then I got back in the driver's seat.

haha what years did you race with scca my dad scott lambert used to race with them when they ran black hawk and all the other cool tracks back when i was like 2 or 3

Good ride! I like my RF900, too. Still have it. Used to run SCCA at Grattan. That off-camber downhill left is still fun to watch!
So, why did it take until halfway through Lap2 to get going?

Great footage troy. I used to own a '94 and it was by far the fastest out of our group, even for a 5-speed. I even used to smoke a full mod Stage 3 Gixxer 750 - this guy didn't have a chance! In response to Redline748, well it is a pretty fast bike, but I would also assume there were two separate classes at the same time on this track day - Am I correct in my assumption?

Thanks for the comments! The video was taken back in 2001 or 2002. I sold the RF in 2003 and bought a GSXR1K, which I still own.
The RF was a 95' red bought new in the spring of 1996. I loved that bike! Always ran great, looked great and was great on the track to.
