Connemarathon Half Marathon, Galway, Ireland

The Connemarathon Half Marathon 2009 was run on Sunday 22nd March.

The race was run through some of the most spectacular scenery the west of Ireland has to offer between Leenane and Maam Cross in County Galway on a gorgeous day in March.

This clip features some video footage and stills from the race from the perspective of a participant.
The video includes a short encoraging talk from Ron Hill -addressed to the over 2,500 particpants in the run gathered before the start of the race.

Ron Hill is a former world record holder at many distances, winner of the Boston marathon, European Marathon Champion, and a lot of other things besides..Ron has run every single day since 1964.
