  • He looks like he needs a hug

  • Actually this was filmed in 2006, and his mother died in 2007. All the same, it is difficult to lose a loved one, especially a parent.

  • @bardo0007. This is English.

  • That's the problem with genealogy. You could read all these things about someone that makes them seem to be a really bad person, but in all actuality, they could have been a really great person.

  • We need subtitles ! This is not English ?

  • There have been at least three people on this series who had an ancestor who dealt with the wounded rather than doing the fighting.

  • ''Ulster'' did not remain British, Ulster contains 9 counties, 3 of which (more than 33 per cent of the landmass of the province) are part of the Republic of Ireland. 4 of the 6 Northern Irish counties now have a Nationalist/Catholic majority.

  • David is such a sweet man, its painful to watch his journey thru these troubles. But then perhaps its this very background that has formed who he is today. God love him.

  • @NeverLisbon Of course it was. Religion - the most effective colonial tool ever created.

  • @saily07 I am a little bit ashamed you are Irish and making such a ridiculous statement. If another country colonises and rapes your country, oppresses and murders many of its people and attempts to destroy their customs and traditions, I think you're gonna get a reaction! Regardless of religion!

  • @Sirknight1797 Oh I laughed when I read this. Social historian you berk.

  • My lecturer is on this. The one called Mairtin.
