  • can you use the pump for blow lug?

  • Yes, the technique is slightly different though. A shallower angle is needed and also a softer "pull"

  • Do you have to use lug from the same area that you wish to fish, reason being I know a good place to pump black lug but I fish 30 miles away. Thanks

  • Some people say so, but i dont think it makes much difference. Our local tackle shops supply worm that has come upto 100miles, and it still works just as well as local stuff...

I have also sold bait to lads traveling to Anglesey before now (150 miles away) and not had any complaints.

  • i have just got 1 of these i went to get a few the day but it was harder than i thought. you can't always see the whole next to the cast is there away around it.

  • Black lug dont have a blow hole the same as blow lug do. The burrow of a black lug is almost J shaped with just the cast, where as a blow lug is U shaped with a cast and a blow hole. Hope this helps

  • Very possible for even a newbie to pump lug as fast as this video. You'll need a long spring tide, the tide just turning and a hot summers day or evening (in the SE) where the water is moving over hot sand.

The spring? allows you to access larger lug which have not been pumped as much and the warmth of the sand causes them to be near the surface!

    In the winter???

For more advice search google for username.

  • go ebay and seach under bait pump.

  • Where can I buy a pump like that? I've just broken my favourite spade trying to dig them out.

  • many thanks mate tight lines Kev
