The Middle of a Rok battle at the Dieppe France Kite festival, I think in '06.
I will post the beginning and the end of the battle in other video's.
A Rok or Rokkaku (Means six sided in Japanese) battle is an ancient Japanese kite flying spectacle or Kite fight in which the object is to be the last kite flying. This is achieved by any and all means other than direct flier contact. You can try cutting the line of another kite with your line or knocking the wind out of the sail of a behind kite, tipping a kite or dragging it to the ground then flying up before your kite actually touches the ground.
I have the big black and orange Dart Frog Rokkaku. I ended up second after a dual with Colin Mortimer of South Africa. I eventually got my line cut but my kite was thankfully recovered because it was caught in Colin's Bridle.
I have yet to lose a kite permanently after many battles, Knock on wood.
