@oracle2world - just curious. Can't find an email address for her. She helped me with some translations for my web site some years ago.

She's retired, as far as I know. Not dead. Rowy wrote 3 dozen of duo's in 2011. I guess that would be a miracle for a dead composer :-)

Rowy still alive? Like not dead from cancer?
Just curious.

"but a mediocre composition nevertheless"
As I recall, this is one of her older compositions she made available for free. My guess is, she won't offer her best work for free to the public. Nevertheless, I know my theory and this music is perfect. Not my favourite, but perfect.
You don't like her FAQ? That's possible. She is a bit harsh to amateurs.

I'm not meaning to be a troll here, but I think that this confirms what Rowy van Hest says herself in that 'It is not the task of the performer to make something beautiful out of a pile of rubbish.'
In this case - lovely playing with expression and a nice touch by the performer, but a mediocre composition nevertheless. Wouldn't really consider her a good educator based on how she grills everyone on her site's FAQ section. Complaining session over!

Yes, I do. Rowy is a known teacher of composition and music theory in The Netherlands (that's in Europe). She wrote a book on harmony.

@thefrenchsong Thank you. I also have some sites with Rowy van Hest's music, but yours I did'n know. Even there is a song from this composer called "A French Song" and it is beautiful too. By the way, do you like this composer?

The composer has a webpage with more free sheet music. Perhaps you'll find a song there: composerDOTrowyDOTnet
Could you please tell me how the song is called in the introduction of your video ?
