Well, yes it is a big thing. But comparing a director and pre-production designer is like comparing Bill Gates to the Burger King Chain Boss.
Obviously Bill Gates will get the higher spot light.
Only directors of each team gets to do things like this, if they included Nomura, they would have to include everyone else who has the same grade jobs.

umm, it's only the titles in the MAIN series. X-2 was a sequel and not part of the main series.
