Samuel from the SEO Moz forums asks:

"I've recently been asked to guest post on a site that appears to be PR4 but when checking the sites authority on OSE no data shows up. The site is http://www.osozo.com. I'm looking for opinions really, first of all on how it can be PR4 but OSE has no data on it and secondly whether it's a good site for me to post on?

Any help much appreciated!"

MY METHODOLOGY
1. Go to Majestic Historic Index and check
2. Perform site command in Google to see if it is indexed
3. Go to Wayback Machine to see the website cache.

Conclusion

The site has probably gained the PR due to the domain age or has had other sites 301 redirected into it at some point in its history. Looking at the site alot of the content is a mash of unrealted topics, very article syndication 2.0- something to be avoided.
