Just some video of my 2011 STi trying out the track for the first time. Had a bunch or problems resulting in low 1/4 mile times. The stage 2 tune wasn't making full boost until 5600+ rpm in 3rd gear. That combined with a clutch fluid leak causing hard shifting.

Best run was with a 1.783 60' time and 8.46s 1/8th mile. Hard shifting to 4th and the computer pulling all the upper end timing out resulting in a slow trap speed of 101.62mph finishing the 1/4 mile in 13.419s.

The last run was a full datalog run with just a slow roll out launch. This is how we found out the timing was pulled out in the upper RPM. The late spooling was due to the timing being pulled making it hard for the car to build boost until higher load gearing. The clutch leak was found by a loose banjo fitting on the clutch slave cylinder.

Looking forward to 2012 to do some more runs and drop to low 12s. The car now has methanol injection, more timing, more boost, and a few other mods.

Perrin PWI-2 Methanol injection 50/50 with 1.0mm jet
Stock intercooler and VF48 at 22psi tapering to 17psi at 7000rpm
Falken 452's (I recommend a better tire, these 452's are scary to drive on)

  • Always go around the waterbox unless you're running slicks. Hell I hate going thru it with my neon unless the slicks are on.

    That mustang was frickin MOVING after the 60ft... what did it run?

    That civic hatch didn't do too bad either

  • @Kinger124 Mustang ran a 12.379 @ 114.62 with a 2.059 60' He had quite a bit of power under the hood for sure. The civic hatch was a completely gutted car, only a single racing seat and partial dash. He had a 75 or 150 shot of NOS cant remember which he said. He ran a 12.673 @117.34 with a 2.115 60'. The third run even without launch I beat the 2005 stage 2 WRX just collecting data logs.

  • the rearview mirror is way too low on the wrx... my 2012 should be here this week. I need to figure out a way to fix it.

  • You need to learn how to not downshift and over rev your car directly after running it flat out and with the little mods you have on your car your a long way from low 12's. Your car seems to be running right around where a stage 2 should just be careful with the downshift one time your going to do it and your shit is going to go booom. trust me i have an 08 sti and im running 12 flat's and high 11's. You have quite a bit of work ahead of you before you hit 12.5 even.............

  • Your 60' is awesome! Definitely doing that right. You may want to shift a bit sooner, maybe 6500, so you can start with more of a powband between shifts.
