CYCLONE BLOWOUT !! Another run on the tabletop gasifier similar to the G3 design by "mrelevatorman". I have added a set of tuyre tubes to attempt preheating of the incoming air and to increase the temperature of combustion. Please note that placement of these air jets is strategic, and this layout is probably not in the optimal location. Also note that the form of this burning chamber is based on an unusual piece of stove pipe, and while this design does work, I would suggest following the detailed dimensions posted in the mrelevatorman video.
The cone is made by rolling up a section of a circle and welding up the seam. There are some cone calculators on the web that will tell you the section size in degrees and the radius of the circle to get to the desired base diameter and height.
I have not worked on the project since late spring 2010, but did make an improved inlet to the cyclone and have been working on pellet delivery and temp control systems.
Have not run an engine, but 'tis the season to play outside in the cold : )
