Michigan U.P. getting a police escort thru town

We was in the UP riding and the trail ended. So we called the Police and they escorted us thru this town and across a big bridge so we could get to the trails on the other side.

@Char1zard93 so not to interfere with traffic. When the lights are on, they will block an intersection, but only after it's clear of cross-traffic. Then they kill the lights to proceed down the roadway

I know what you mean, I've had 2 highway patrol cars and a deputy chasing us for crossing the paved road..

I know exactly where this escort took place. It took place on M-26 as you are going north past Wal-Mart, Perkins, the Copper Country Mall into Houghton, MI. The cop gives them an escort across the Portage Lift Bridge into Hancock, Michigan.
