Israeli Search and Rescue in Kenya 2006

The IDF dispatches the Search and Rescue Unit across the globe to save lives in times of emergency. Comprised mostly of reserve duty volunteers, they have been sent to countries in crisis including: Turkey, Armenia, Argentina, Rwanda, Kosovo, India and now, Haiti.

On January 24, 2006 following the collapse of a building in Nairobi, Kenya, Israel sent the unit to assist rescue efforts.
