  • @freespeachrulez there should not be a hole in that pipe. it is for your cooling system and will cause the motor to over heat. i would either replace the pipe or do it the cheap way and J.B. weld it. i J.B. welded my water jacket right behind the coil and it worked /held great!

  • @steve26180 It is I believe the shorter of the two copper pipes that run up into the engine for the cooling. If you have ever removed the side access panel and accessed where the shifter rod connects to remove the lower unit you will see what I am talking about.

  • @freespeachrulez where is this pipe? is it in the lower leg? or near the block?

  • @steve26180 Should there be a small hole in the pipe up near where the shifter rod connects?

  • @handymann3 i did use a manuel but it was easy enough to do it without a manuel. if it is electric shift there are two wires that go down the lower unit by where the water jacket is. then the 6 bolts i think on the underside of the unit and it drops and there will be 2 copper pipes attached to the block from the lower unit for the water supply so dont yank it, and then you will see the water pump housing in the back with a shaft coming out the top.

  • @steve26180 How hard was it to replace? Did you use a manual?

  • hell yeah let it smoke our kids are the ones who have to deal with the ozone layer we will be dead by then 2 strokes forever

  • yes it is

  • i would ove to get a picture of that wood grain front cover

  • Sweet motor man, is it electra shift?
