Savatage - Can You Hear Me Now (Studio Version)

Album: Streets: A Rock Opera (1991)

Lyrics:

If I closed my eyes
Would it all subside
To an echo in the night
Of a distant fading light
Then a stranger's silhouette
A burning cigarette
And somewhere in the haze
A passage through the maze

Can you hear me now
Or are there just too many doors
Between then and now
For me to ever reach on through
Pull you back somehow
That don't happen anymore
Still in the night
I think I hear you calling

I have walked this stage
As the music played
They knew every word
But they never heard
For they never changed
It's all very strange
As I'm standing here
Contemplating years

Can you hear me now
Are there just too many doors
Between then and now
For me to ever reach on through
And pull you back somehow
Well that don't happen anymore
Still in the night
I swear I hear you calling

Can you hear me now
Are there just too many doors
Between then and now
For me to ever reach on through
And pull you back somehow
But that don't happen anymore
Still in the night
I think I hear you calling

  • I got here from Verizon..

  • @Grafo7771 No The Oliva's came from New York Dr.Killdrums and Middleton hail from Florida. And the members commuted regularly. Ive known the band for decades.

  • Funny Grafo7771 you'd think if they were your favorite band you'd know they were from FLA. Amazing band though probably the most underrated ever.

  • And can you hear me now

Or are there just too many doors

    Between then and now

For me to ever reach on through

EPIC Vocal + EPIC Lyrics + EPIC Music = Savatage :)

  • A masterpiece among masterpieces...the Whole Album is Pure Spirit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • One of the best bands EVER!!

  • This is one of my favorite bands of all time too. I didn't hear them till the 90's when I was in my 20's but the music was much more relevant in the 90's grunge rock era. This music fit in with a lot of the metal coming out a that time. I loved them now love them today. This is what you call talent.
