Marco PIEROBON & Brass Band UEBERETSCH - Meditation from Thais by Jules Massenet

Marco Pierobon (born 1975) obtained his diploma at the Conservatory of Bolzano with Otto Rabensteiner; he made his specialisation at the School of Music of Fiesole (Florence) with Roger Bobo and Vinko Globokar and afterwards with Giancarlo Parodi. He was awarded the First Prize at the international competitions 'Rovere d'Oro' (IM) and 'Aqui Musica' (AL), in addition to winning a position in the orchestras of Bolzano and San Remo. From 1997 to 1999 he was member of the Orchestra 'Toscanini' of Parma, then from 1999 to 2002 he was Principal Trumpet and Soloist of the Orchestra of 'Maggio Musicale Fiorentino'. From 2003 to 2008 he was Principal Trumpet of the 'Accademia Nazionale di S.Cecilia' Orchestra of Rome, and collaborated as 'Acting Principal Trumpet' with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
He is actually teacher at the Bolzano Conservatory and member (leader) of the Gomalan Brass Quintet for which he writes most of its arrangements.
