Physalia utriculus (it). I hope I identified this correctly.

From a beach in Sorsogon, Philippines

Similar (almost) to a Portuguese Man-O-War /Physalia physalia (it)

  • @ToturialesGlam Yes unfortunately. Wasn't able to replicate the water conditions

  • That is just about the most amazing sea creature I ever saw O______O

  • @manijac0von0celje Thanks! Nice to see but stings when felt haha

  • That's the 1st time I've seen one held still and not bobbing around in the ocean. It's neat to see it move by itself. Good one.

  • @E2qNX8btraQ3zRD6J7fc Thank you! I tried holding it and had a generalized allergic reaction.

  • @AdamBobadam808 Unfortunately it did. I tried to sustain it until I could turn it over to a friend who's a marine biologist but without luck. When they die they just dissolve into the water.

  • did it die

  • did it died

  • @AdamBobadam808 Okay. I'm not sure though if the pacific man-o-war is seasonal over there--if ever that's your purpose of visit haha
