This is one of the greatest advantages about universal health care: an amazing peace of mind that you know if you end up at a hospital you will be taken care of without filing for bankruptcy I have seen the system in Canada or UK.may be not perfect but way better than what Americans have now..George Carlin one of my favorite comedians once said what this system doesn't want is citizens capable of critical thinking..go read the bill for yourself and then decide instead of listening to this idiot.

I agree with you that there is no money in health. Insurance and big pharma need sick people. That's something that will never change in this country. I work for a big chain drug store and i can see the difference. specially for the elderly. This is not a perfect bill, no doubt, because of the influence of insurance companies. but there are positive points in it. It makes insurance more accessible. getting rid of that doughnut hole for seniors is great. it makes insurance more affordable.

I to listen to George Carlin and yes people should read that bill, but people have to understand that our Government needs Sick people, The Insurance Companies needs Sick people, because if there wasn't Sick people, then there wouldn't be any money to be made.

I still believe we need some sort of universal healthcare that is Free to the Population, but it will never happen, especially when we have Corrupt Politicians working in Washington, and Corrupt Ceo's who are too "GREEDY"

What you don't understand is this was written by the Insurance companies to force people who don't want health insurance to buy it, in turn would maximize these company's profits.

This isn't about giving people the Freedom to be helped when they need it. This is about "MONEY"

I like the NHs, but I prefer it in England--not Scotland. A Scottish NHS doctor killed my daughter. And when I complained about it, your corrupt Scottish system white washed it all, and told me I should just go on with my life.

I knew there was something wrong with my daughter, but the Scottish NHS would not listen to me because they said they knew it all and where in control. Well Scotland's self fucking righteousnmess killed my daughter. She died, and I don't get even an apology/

If you are from Scotland than you are my sworn enemy. I still hold a grudge over the Scots. Scotland took everything I loved and destroyed it. Now since coming back to America, I had to re-invent myself.

I don't hate you as a person, but I do not like what a lot of Scots did to me. Don't take it personal, but once something is takemn from somebody, you can never get it back. That's the curse I had to live with. Scotland took my only child.
