  • If u guys think they suck, u try doing that. It takes a lot of practicing.

  • College drumlines are basically much improved high school drumlines. And I'm in one, so its no elitist comment. Considering the amount of time that students at any level DO have to practice, people need to watch collegiate drumlines with appropriate expectations. Corps sound really bad too in December, but by Finals they're cooking. Primarily because it's all they do for an entire summer. Literally the only thing.

  • @TheKareem34 famu kills their band members...

  • Why do people hate these guys soooo muchhhhhhh?

  • @mspdrummer And now I just found them playing Ditty, which has all of the subtlety and control that isn't found in their street beat. Very impressive performance.

  • @mspdrummer sorry, let me amend that. Their drumline is quite good. From up in the stands (the camera's view: I've never seen them play) the minor dirt you hear on the field pretty much goes away. it's still there but they should pretty darn clean 95% of the time. I really like the tone in the horns as well, although my tastes there as less well-developed.

  • @mspdrummer I really do think that for MOST schools, but certainly not all. It depends on the program, the caliber of players they attract, and how well they match up their ability level with fitting challenges and exciting music. In addition, I was making an argument that busy students don't (can't) put in the same amount of practice as dudes who eat sleep and breath drum corps in the summer months.

JSU certainly isn't bad but, again, they aren't playing earth shattering stuff.

  • @PittsburghTaiko if you really think college drumlines are much improved high schoolers you oughta take a look at Jacksonville State's drumline. One of if not the best college drumline in the world.

  • go noles

  • the tenor groove from 0:42 to 0:50 is sick!

  • Not bad, but this sounds more like a cadence than warmups

  • @kcdkndf Be glad your band is decent. We have 50 people - 1 tenor, 2 snares, and 4 basses. And only the tenor knew the music :p
