PokéRealms (Abandoned RM2K Project) Randomness

Bits and pieces of Pokémon Realms, an abandoned RM2k project of mine - a plot based RPG set in a medieval PokéMon world, featuring a trainer from modern time being thrown back in time by a Celebi and trying to get back to his own time.

This project was dropped due to lack of energy, frustration with RM2k's limitations and general incompetence.

This clip shows a few random features such as field abilities (specifically, Bulbasaur's Pathfinding ability), a random graveyard joke, as well as the Debug Mode and as such the evolution system. (which the levels are right for at least event-wise, the debug level-up option just kicks it in bursts of ten.)

All tilesets and midis (c) to whoever made them.

It would have if I haven't lost the energy to deal with RM2K and eventually realized that it wasn't good enough to build what I wanted to make the game into...

Or rather, that I wasn't good enough with HAXing it for that. People did some scarishly impressive stuff with RM2k. o-o

Looks good. But of course I recognize much of the music and graphics from other games, mostly Chrono Trigger and the SNES Final Fantasy games. This is of course not negative since drawing your own graphics would make a project like this time consuming.

I like the humour in it too.
