Welcome to the beginners guide to SWGEmu, if you already know the basics of SWGEmu you should watch another video insted.

1) You need to get Star Wars Galaxies, you can get it from ebay or your local gamestore (or wherever you uselly get your games)

2) dl the SWGEmu launchpad from this site: http://www.mediafire.com/?3vwcyzmlgom

3) Install SWG and the launchpad

4) Make a acc on the official SWGEmu site: http://www.swgemu.com/

@Sysinput Wow! 5,623,008? Sounds like they were working very hard. Hm... they don't have crafting yet? Thought that is something that was working along with other professions since the beginning. Oh well, all in due time. But what about starships that you can use now for atmospheric flight? Unless they're not crafted by shipwright but simply obtain a prototype 12k mass ship deeds from the pilot trainers (npc)?

I have emu but when i make my character how come i never see traders to get armour and deeds off when i start? is that gone now or where can i find him?

@TieInterceptorPilot no i dont think they have space or crafting yet. keep in mind its a volunteer team that has to rewrite the entire game to be legal. they have already written 5,623,008 lines of code.

@Sysinput Hm, interesting. Speaking of not nearly complete. Last time I heard from someone, a couple of months away (I don't remember exactly), one of the things they emu doesn't have, at least not yet, is space to launch from the starport (despite that you can see that Starship Terminal at 6:03) You know, flying in starships. Although they do have atmospheric flight by now, where you can fly in starships in the sky. Do they EMU not yet have space?

Quick question, is this an exact replica as in you need to work to get mounts and skills or is it a private server where you get everything handed to you.

@TheSwg4life lol well SWGEMU is a SWG EMUlator it has been in creation for over 5 years i think. Its in development by a Volunteer Team and is having to be completely re-written to be legal, so this is wjhy it is taking so long, cause they are volunteers that are re-writing a LARGE game with a Fraction of the size of people it took to create SWG

Yes its safe, is it rdy to play? yes but not nearly complete.

will it be better? no because its the same game made my smaller team thats not paid.

i have a few questions about the swg emu i was a star wars galaxies player and i love the game shame its shut down but i was wondering about the emu dont know much about it i was wondering what is the emu? whos it created by? is it safe? is it ready to play or still in production? will it be the same or better than galaxies? hope you answer my questions quite curious to know.
