@theyakkoman Finally the bible specifically has information (backed up by ancient archaeological text) that states Christ was born in the winter. Whether december 25 or not is impossible to know though.

@theyakkoman However thats not the point anyway. If the church hadnt "Hijacked" it as you say would it even be celebrated today? More than likely the world (and I know for a fact that the europeans countries britain america ect.) owes the celebration's existence to Christ and the church otherwise like many pagan holidays it more than likely would have died out with time.

@theyakkoman Ok for starters I know what your talking about your talking about the winter solstice celebration, the problem with your argument is that the winter solstice celebration was celebrated ON the winter solstice which occured on decembder 21 or 22 depending on the year it wasnt until Caesar moved it to the 25 only a few decades before Christ was born that it was celebrated on the 25. Also the winter solstice celebration is nothing like Christmas that is celebrated today.
